Slow Living at the Regge River

Holiday park Mölke is located along the Regge River. The Regge flows from the Twente Canal near Goor towards Ommen, where it merges with the Vecht River. In the past, the Regge was a wild and untamed stream, meandering through small villages like Hulsen, Notter, and Zuna, often overflowing its banks in winter. This caused quite a headache for the local swamp fishermen, leading to human intervention to tame the river into a more controlled waterway.

Nowadays, the Regge is once again allowed to flow freely, restoring its natural character. It has become the perfect spot for adventure seekers—whether you fancy a canoe trip, a peaceful walk, or simply sitting by the water, watching the river flow by. Slow living at its best!

Enjoyment on the water

The Regge offers countless opportunities for a relaxing day on the water. Rent a whisper boat and enjoy the stunning views in complete tranquility. Or hop into a canoe and be surprised by cows drinking from the river or water birds swimming alongside your boat. The true adventurer takes to the water on a SUP board and paddles along the Regge.

Along the waterfront

For those who prefer to stay on land, the Regge is just as much fun. Cyclists can follow a beautiful bike path along the meandering river, and there are endless scenic trails for hikers.

The Regge is also a popular spot for fishing. With unique fish species swimming in its waters and plenty of peaceful spots along the shore, it’s the perfect place to cast your line. No wonder Mölke is such a beloved campsite for fishing enthusiasts!

And then there’s our very own little beach by the Regge—a paradise for kids to play and splash around endlessly. Whether they’re building dams or simply playing in the sand, this is the perfect spot.
