Camping at The Regge

Mölke holiday park is situated by the Regge river. The Regge flows from the Twente Canal at Goor past Rijssen, Enter and Hellendoorn in the direction of Ommen, where the river flows into De Vecht. In the past, this river was a wild stream, meandering its way past various small villages such as Hulsen, Notter and Zuna - where the Mölke holiday park is located - and bursting its banks in the winter. This gave summer fishermen the necessary headaches in those days, so that the river was slowly tamed into a respectable stream by human hands. Nowadays, 'De Regge' is allowed to be wild again and burst its banks, allowing exciting activities to be carried out on the river and giving the river and surrounding nature back their original characteristics. However, "De Regge" is still above all an idyllic little river that flows right past the Mölke holiday park and offers holidaymakers and recreationists beautiful views and lots of water fun.

Enjoyment on the water

If you are sailing on the Regge these days and want to enjoy the surroundings, you can enjoy beautiful cattails (also known as the 'reed cat') that are growing in abundance, see nesting ducks and geese on the banks and if you are lucky, even see a kingfisher fly by. On the way, you will pass by the beautiful Pelmolen in Rijssen and by various interesting agricultural enterprises where you can take a look. Examples include an organic farm, a vineyard and an old Saxon farmyard.

The Regge offers recreational users countless opportunities for a wonderful and relaxing day on the water. For example, hire a whisper boat and enjoy the splendour along the water in peace and quiet. Real fanatics rent a canoe and make an exciting trip through the beautiful surroundings. If you would rather not sail or canoe yourself, there is the option of booking a tour with the salon boat 'EMS Reggestroom'. This beautiful boat is an original copy of the Boston Tea-Party Boat, which was very popular in England in the 1950s. The comfortable tour boat has room for up to 25 adults and can be reserved, just like the whisper boats and canoes, at the Recreation Desk at Mölke Holiday Park.

Relaxing along the waterfront

Of course, you can also enjoy the Regge from the land. For cyclists, there is a beautiful cycle path along the river that follows the meandering river through the landscape. Numerous routes are available at our Recreation Desk for discovering the Regge region, including walking routes, of course! The Regge is also a popular spot for anglers. Not only the amount of (special) fish that swims in it, but also the beautiful spots that can be caught, make many an angler very enthusiastic and make Holiday Park Mölke a popular campsite with fishing waters. Finally, our holiday park itself has a real beach on the Regge, where especially in summer it is great for young and old!
